We are safe back home, which is bittersweet. We will never forget the time we were blessed with in Sicily with our family! But, we’re also happy to sleep in our own beds again and the kids are excited to play with the toys that we left behind.
Grammy, we can’t thank you enough for renting the villa for all of us to spend quality time together! It was an amazing experience to be with everyone and we are so grateful for all these new memories! We love you!
One last little snippet to say that Grammy, Ryan, Christina and her kids had stayed in Sicily for a couple days after we had gotten home and Jay and I couldn’t believe when they told us about Mt Etna erupting! They were eating dinner in Giardini Naxos and they sent us a photo where they could actually see the glowing lava from Mt Etna in the distance. We were just there less than a week prior. I guess you really never know when the volcano will erupt! Now Brooke will never believe us again, when we try to tell her that a tour on an active volcano is safe and she should “just trust us.” Haha!
